Travel the end of the fifteenth century and the first half of the sixteenth by caravan and ship to romantic cities: Granada, Cairo, Timbuktu, Constantinople and Rome. There adventure, romance, war and deceit are abundant. The lessons Leo Africanus learns from his travels are timely still.

My Kind of Girl

This is a wonderful collection of remembrances of first love as told by four travelers whose train must be delayed. The stories are tender and fresh as the elderly gentlemen remember the sad tales of first love. The writing is fresh, beautiful and softly emotional. How lucky we are to have a translation of this book, enabling us to get a glimpse into the lives of Indian men in love. This is a beautiful book to be read again and again.
