Five Book Friday: In Memoriam
(0 comment)
Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. Speeders Guide To Avoiding Tickets

I think this is a great book that you'll enjoy. Eagen writes in a funny "in your face" style and tells you many things that you are doing wrong when you drive (or speed) and don't know you're doing it. It's a shame that many police officers don't like his book (but probably haven't read it), so I can understand their feelings. But he's not a traitor, he's just telling the truth from his perspective. He gives good practical advice on when to speed and it's different from wreckless speeding - he's very opposed to that. He also tells you how to "behave" when pulled over so you'll have the highest chance of being let off with a warning. I don't care who you are, what sex, what race, etc., he will use sarcasm to insult us all, but in the end will help you.
