Almost Perfect
by
Susan Mallery
Marilyn Shoemaker
, June 29, 2010
No one writes a love story like author Susan Mallery as it’s not only the romance, it’s how she creates strong characters who tug at your heart. They are beautiful stories about family and how they work through their secrets, hurts, misunderstandings, but in the end they worked through their “stuff” giving them that happy ending they so desperately needed. And that’s how the author takes her readers on the journey that makes Mallery’s Almost Perfect” a perfect romance”. In this case Susan Mallery not only gave the hero and heroine their happy ending, she also gave her son and her nieces the loving home they all deserved. As the old saying goes “when fate hands you a lemon, make lemonade” and that’s what happened to Liz Sutton when the love of her life Ethan Hendrix denied knowing her, telling his friends he would never date a girl like her. Liz was a sweet young woman who had grown up on the wrong side of the tracks with a mother who was not only a drunk but had a different man in her bed every night. On top of that her mother was abusive to her and the town’s residents of Fools Gold instead of stepping in chose to ignore how she was being raised. Liz was extremely smart, and tried to ignore the barbs and rumors that she was a “slut”. The only positive thing in her life was Nathan, the boy she loved, the same boy who promised they would be together in college. And then in front of his friends he hurt her by denying their relationship and Liz left Fools Gold and went to San Francisco.

Marcelli Princess
by
Susan Mallery
Marilyn Shoemaker
, April 10, 2007
so glad I was one of those readers and fan of Susan's Mallery who asked for Mia's story and I wasn't disappointed! I loved the Marcelli series and Mia's story was no exception. It was delightful, entertaining, shed a few tears. However, what I most loved about this book was it brought out Susan Mallery's charm and sense of humor! Mia plus her sisters taking on a crown Prince? If you've read the series, then one would appreciate this aspect and the family dynamics. That's the appeal of the series and this particular book.......Mia, her son, the crown prince and the Marcelli family. As for lessons, there are many to be learned like what's important in life, what does love really mean to a person? What can respect, love and determination bring into a relationship? Not to mention, family values, traditions and holding each member close and dear to each of them. The book for me was a wonderful ending. I thought Mia was strong, fierce, determined and passionate. As for Crown Prince Rafael, he was brought to his knees by Mia and her family! Loved it! Again, Susan Mallery has delivered a wonderful story and series and one I shall long remember! Thank you Susan.

Harlequin Presents #2600: A Mistress for the Taking
by
Annie West
Marilyn Shoemaker
, November 21, 2006
All I can say is that author, Annie West has a brilliant career ahead of her if A Mistress for the Taking is any indication. This is Marina and Ronan's story set in beautiful Australia and full of passion, I guarantee! Marina has taken care of her family for most of her life. Over the past year she and her father were in an accident, one in which she injures her leg and her father dies. This leaves Marina and her brother to run the family business in which her brother makes very bad choices and they stand to loose it because he gambled it away. Marina confronts the ruthless Mr. Wakefield, the man who has stolen it only to be embarrassed at a cocktail party attended by the rich and famous. However, she is rescued by the tall, dark and very mysterious Ronan. Ronan has a plan, a plan to help Marina and gain revenge on the man who has brought pain to one of his family. He is also very drawn and attracted to Marina and talks her into portraying his mistress. However, the tables are turned on both Marina and Ronan as neither of them counts on their own attraction for each other. Their journey in finding each other and love will absolutely take your breath away. Congratulations to Ms. Annie west on her first Modern Romance, it was a fabulous read!

Harlequin Large Print Presents #2576: At the Sheikh's Command
by
Kate Walker
Marilyn Shoemaker
, September 19, 2006
At first glance they are lost! Malik the sheikh and beautiful proud Abbie who wants her brother out of jail. They see each other from afar and immediately there is lust, desire and tension. Malik is regal, sexy, stern, determined; all of the characteristics one would expect of royal blood and a sheikh. He has come to England to meet with Abbie's father concerning the release of her brother from a Barakhara jail. Neither knows the truth about each other until one evening the truth is revealed and Abbie's hopes are shattered. Malik has come to England to offer pardon if Abbie marries his brother, the Sheikh of Barakhara (his half brother). Abbie is so sexually and passionately drawn to Malik that she isn't herself. The events are turbulent; an interesting mix to the storyline. Abbie's desire for Malik, her pending marriage to his half brother and then a country in turmoil plus seeing Malik again after weeks of trying to forget him. This love story is as hot as the burning desert sun! Kate Walker has yet again penned a powerful and promising love story full of passion, tension and drama set in the desert sun. Their love story will grip your heart and provide hours of reading enjoyment.

Devil In The Junior League
by
Linda Francis Lee
Marilyn Shoemaker
, August 23, 2006
I'm so glad that Linda Francis Lee is back writing. She?s a genius in telling the tale of The Devil and the Junior League. if you love "he?s done me wrong", took my money, is having an affair, plus my high society reputation is at stake, then you've got to read this book. It's Dallas and Desperate Housewives and more....it's sassy, sensitive and at times sad. The story takes place in a small Texas town where you're no one if you're not in the cr?me of high society and a member of the Jr. League. All Hell busts loose when the once beauty and homecoming queen, and high society Frede's finds that husband had an affair, runs off with all of her money and her reputation is at stake. She hires the loud, bawdy lawyer next door to find her husband and represent her. His fee is to get his "tacky" wife who wears animal print and spandex into the Jr. League. Besides being a good read, there are lots of life's lessons to ponder. I highly recommend this book for women of all ages. I can actually picture this book being made into a movie and I can see Reese Witherspoon in the role of Frede.

Thrill Me to Death
by
Roxanne St. Claire
Marilyn Shoemaker
, August 23, 2006
Thrill Me to Death is an exceptional addition to Roxanne St. Claire?s Bullet Catcher series. It?s emotionally packed with all sorts of twists, turns and danger not to mention the sensual tension and scenes between the main characters Max and Cori. If you?ve read St. Claire?s books Max Roper, first appeared in Tropical Getaway, her debut novel. Max left the DEA and followed his best buddy, Dan to the security and personal protection business as a Bullet Catcher. Max also makes an appearance in the first book of the series, KILL ME TWICE One gets the impression that Max is not only handsome and strong but shows absolutely no emotion. Wrong?.. in this book, the reader will absolutely fall in love with this man who keeps to himself, holds back and will soon have the answers revealed in his past. Enter Cori Peyton, Max?s Bullet Catcher assignment. Max is assigned to protect Cori and is hired to be her bodyguard and security expert. They have a past history, at one time they were in love and hoped to marry. However, things happened and Cori ended up marrying an older millionaire who has died and his death is being questioned and Cori?s now in possible danger. Max is to sort this out and put all personal feelings aside. I enjoyed THRILL ME TO DEATH due to the danger, the cast of characters and of course the romance. Max and Cori?s love story is so full of passion and tension and how they find their way back to each other is an emotional rollercoaster ride. There are so many twists and turns to this very exciting romance/suspense and again St. Claire has written a winner! There are other interesting characters, her stepson, attorney, best friend Breezy and a cast of other Bullet Catcher?s. This is a book I?ve been waiting for since I read KILL ME TWICE and I wasn?t disappointed. I can?t wait for the next in the series

Harlequin Presents #2561: The Antonakos Marriage
by
Kate Walker
Marilyn Shoemaker
, July 29, 2006
A wedding ultimatum, hot and sexual tension that will burn the pages of this romantic story set in Greece. What a wonderful journey in finding love Theo and Skye experienced. A story so tender at the end, I couldn?t stop the tears. Sky Marston has the misfortune of promising an older Greek man that she will marry him and provide heirs. She is trapped in this agreement for the mere fact that her father worked from Cyril Antonakos and siphoned funds from his company. In order to save her father from being prosecuted and paying for her mother?s heart condition, Skyke goes along with this agreement in order to save her family. However, she decides to leave her family country home and go to London for a last fling before leaving for Greece. While entering an English cocktail lounge Skye and Theo Antonakos have eye contact and the sparks fly. However, she is detained by a group of noisy men and is rescued by Theo. The sexual pull between these two is electric and it turns out they overnight together in an evening of pure passion. However, they only give their first names and Skye flees the next morning. She flies to Greece to get ready for her wedding and on the third day Cyril?s son arrives for the event. But to Skye?s amazement who should the son turn out to be but Theo Antonakos and from that moment there is such tension, anger, turmoil and it?s so passionate as only Kate Walker can write. Skye?s and Theo?s journey is a rough one but so intense, emotional and passionate you won?t be able to put this book down. Kate Walker has such an incredible way of bringing her characters to life and giving her readers hours of reading pleasure.

Irresistible
by
Susan Mallery
Marilyn Shoemaker
, July 21, 2006
Susan Mallery has done it again as far as writing an incredible series about the Seattle Buchanan family. Her second in the series (Delicious being the first), IRRESISTIBLE is just that. It?s full of family issues, love, some danger, betrayal and includes short snippets about the Buchanan siblings. However, IRRESISTIBLE is Walker Buchanan?s story. Walker decides he must retire early from the Marine Corp. He?s seen and been through way to much and he has a mission. His friend took a bullet for him and died with no family, no one to mourn with the exception of a young woman who he mentioned many times to Walker. Walker returns to Seattle and his family the main purpose?.. to find his friend?s girlfriend and to deliver a letter to her. He is immediately thrust into two situations??the first being family duties to sit at the helm of the family corporation because his grandmother has to be hospitalized due to a heart attack and fall. The second; he moves into a neighborhood and meets three incredible people?..the beautiful Elissa, her daughter Zoe and Mrs. Ford who all reside in his building. Neither Walker nor Elissa are looking for love but the forces of nature bring them, their families and a horrible ex-boyfriend into the mix. Lots of emotion with a lots of intensity in this love story. This story is one I could not put down. Once I began Walker?s journey, I read it immediately from cover to cover. Susan Mallery is a master storyteller and this series is such an entertaining one, one that will top the charts for the year and next year as well with additional books in the series.

, June 22, 2006
Revenge or Lust? Jake is immediately drawn to Mercedes Alcolar the only daughter of Juan Alcolar, media mogul and Spanish aristocrat. All he knows is that he must have her even though revenge for this family is at the top of the Taverner?s list. From the moment Jake sees this beautiful and proud lady he is driven to get to know her and get her into his bed. From their first dance and then a casual dinner, sparks fly and passion ignites. Mercedes flees Jake?s home and he pursues her only to be turned down several times. His cousin?s wedding presents the perfect opportunity to see Mercedes again. At his cousin Ramon?s wedding, Jakes becomes involved in an argument with Mercedes and her future fianc? and claims to be engaged to Mercedes. So let?s just say their story begins in a very ?heated? way. Mercedes, the only child and sister of the strong and power Alcolar Family becomes weak in the knees when she first meets this tall, strong and handsome Jake. As a woman, she becomes aware of herself and is pulled in a powerful way to this man. Blackmailed into a false engagement? How dare he? How dare the handsome Jake make her heart and blood pound? How dare he bring out feelings of lust and love? Their story guarantees passion and will pull at your heart Bound for Blackmail is the last in the series of the Alcolar?s an incredible series by Kate Walker. Again, Kate has written three incredible books connecting this ?dysfunctional? family together and making the reader believe that love can indeed conquer all, heals old childhood memories and family issues, bringing these wonderful characters full circle and creating a powerful family. I personally will miss this family as I?ve come to love each and everyone of them.

Harlequin Presents #2492: The Twelve-Month Mistress
by
Kate Walker

, June 22, 2006
The Twelve Month Mistress is an incredible love story??.passionate, sensual, and emotional, one I couldn?t put down. It is one of Kate?s finest! Her characters come to life in a way not to be missed. It will touch the heart of every woman who reads this truly amazing story of Joaquin and Cassie. I can?t wait for the next book in the trilogy, Ramon?s story. . Joaquin Alcolar is the oldest and only legitimate son of Juan Alcolar, a Spanish aristocrat. He has spent most of his life mistrusting relationships destroyed by his father?s unfaithfulness. Joaquin is a ?Lone Wolf?. . Being in charge of his vineyard business has taught him how to wear a mask, not allowing him to show his true emotions Love is not in his vocabulary and he?s never kept a mistress for more than a year. Cassie is his current mistress and deeply loves Joaquin. However, she is afraid she will be sent packing and questions whether to stay or leave. She is quoted saying ?is it worth staying in a situation that is just not making you happy?? She has a ?hungry need for this man? and is vulnerable where he is concerned. Cassie loves and adores him and is putty in his hands. She has trouble being honest with Joaquin about her feelings and what she wants from the relationship. She?s fearful of being cast out and rejected. So when the end of the year approaches, she decides to leave, to keep hold of her pride. Upon Cassie?s leaving, Joaquin has an accident and Cassie is forced to return home to take care of him. From there, one complication after another and she is now back where she started, more confused and emotional.. Throughout the book, both characters explore their feelings concerning their relationship. Joaquin doesn?t understand not always being in control, not knowing where he is headed nor why he feels so different about Cassie over his past mistresses. His emotions are out of control where she is concerned. He feels she is ?his woman?, what he owns he controls. He runs his life with discipline and nothing happens without his approval. This story is highly ?charged? and one you won?t be able to put down! For Alex?s story, WIFE FOR REAL, go to www.eharlequin.com and read the online story.

Roxanne St. Claire has yet again, told an incredible and passionate love story. If you?ve ever had a crush and your dream came true, well this is the book for you! It?s sinfully sexy, full of hopes and dreams and Once I began this wonderful story, I just couldn't put it down. What is it about Roxanne St. Claire's style that pulls the reader in? I think it's her passion for story telling and the amount of time she takes to develop her characters. Kendra, is incredibly sensitive to others, has a secret from her past she doesn't want Deuce to find out about but still can't resist his bad boy charms. Deuce, well he's every woman's dream and learns several lessons real quick. This passionate and steamy story will just plain steel your heart.

Highest Bidder
by
Roxanne St Claire
Marilyn Shoemaker
, June 22, 2006
The Highest Bidder is a wonderful addition to the Dynasties series The Ashton's. I chose this book because of the author, quite honestly. However, after reading this book I realized that the entire series must be very good based on the family itself, full of mystery intrigue, disfunction and dynamics. The main characters Matt and Paige are a warm, witty and sensual couple. When Paige finds herself in a uncomfortable situation on stage because a bachelorette had gone missing, her cousin's friend Matt feels sorry for her. So Matt bids a ton of $$'s and wins the chance for a date with Paige. As their story enfolds, one is treated to learning about this couple. Matt, a self made millionaire, not born into wealth, holds his emotions in, funny, sexy, intelligent, talented. Paige, the baby in the Ashton family, shy, smart, sweet, sensitive and the Winery event planner. Their journey together is bitter sweet and I honestly couldn't but the book down. I think I'm going to invest in the rest of the series based on this book. If you enjoy The Highest Bidder then you'll enjoy Roxanne's McGrath Brother Series by Silhoueette Desire....The Fire Still Burns, Like a Hurricane and When the Earth Moves. From the Back Cover: Socialite Paige Ashton had never expected to enter the charity auction she had organized. But when a bachelorette went missing, she found herself standing on stage, the sudden "property" of the most undeniably handsome man in the room. Walker Camberlane had decided to rescue Paige from her uncomfortable situation with the highest bid. But he was also interested in the Ashton beauty for an altogether different reason. Paying $10,000 for her didn't give Walker the right to make demands. Yet Paige found herself succumbing to his magnetism and on the verge of doing anything he asked. Anything.

Silhouette Desire #1648: When the Earth Moves
by
Roxanne St Claire

, June 22, 2006
When the Earth Moves?.when you think about Roxanne?s McGrath Brother Series, they are all bound by nature. The other two?Like a Hurricane and The Fire Still burns were wonderful stores of the other two McGrath?s?Quinn and Colin. This is Cam, Jo and baby Callie?s story. Warm and sweet, sexy and I think my favorite. This entire series is one not to be missed. Roxanne has woven three exciting and sensuous tales of three brothers who are afraid to love because their mother deserted them at a young age. Trust a woman, heck no! Lust after them, yes! However, when each meets three beautiful women who challenge them in every way and steal their hearts they?re blown away. In this story, Cam the oldest is approached by Jo with a secret, one hard for Cam to believe. His mother whom he believed did not love him is dead, along with a sister he didn?t realize he had. Left behind is a baby, his niece. Jo (a friend of his mother and sister) wants to adopt the baby. As their story enfolds, Cam learns many lessons, one being love. This is a wonderful and warm story, one I highly recommend.

Killer Curves

Killer Curves takes one on the fast track at lightening speed when the rich, classy and beautiful Celeste meets head on with the sexy, charming and powerful Beau. At each turn, the story takes twists and takes the reader into the world of auto racing and NASCAR. To describe the book would ruin the story for the reader. But let me just say this, you won?t be disappointed with this wonderful Roxanne St. Claire book. Killer Curves is a ?real killer?.

Kill Me Twice

Roxanne St Claire
Marilyn Shoemaker
, June 22, 2006
KILL ME TWICE, the first in Roxanne St. Claire?s Bullet Catcher series is set in Miami Beach with the most incredible sexy, talented, and hot Cuban born bodyguard you will ever come to know, Alex Romero. Alex is hired to protect Jessica Adams, a Miami newscaster who is about to write a very powerful expose which will put her at the top of her field and land her in New York. Jessica asks her identical twin, Jazz, a PI, to fill in for her at the Miami TV station so that she can go undercover to get her story. When Jazz arrives in Miami, she finds that Alex, a bodyguard has been hired to protect her twin, due to personal threats on her life. Now her sister is missing and not to be found. From there on, these two very capable, strong willed and fiery people team up and begin a journey and search for Jessica that will knock your socks off. I found this book suspenseful, powerful, intriguing and extremely sensual. The Bullet Catcher organization is headed up by an amazing ex-CIA agent, Lucy Sharpe. Lucy also has on her team, two additional strong and sexy men, Max Roper and Dan Gallagher. The stores of these bodyguards and security specialists will be continued in future Bullet Catcher Series. KILL ME TWICE, I believe will be one of Roxanne St. Claire?s best romance/suspense novel. This book truly deserves five stars and more!

Falling For Gracie
by
Susan Mallery

, June 22, 2006
Falling for Gracie was a warm and spirited book. It was refreshing to read a romance filled with humor, warmth and strong characters. There were many lessons to be learned in this book a few being honesty, integrity and the art of communication. A very sensual romance, one I will read, over and over. Gracie's character was strong, spirited, fun, intelligent, and warm even though her family had sent her adrift. Riley, how does one describe an alpha male at his finest? Tall, dark, handsome, aloof and by his past...mistrusting, tormented and angry. How Gracie and Riley come together begins with their knowing each other in their past but now they meet again and sparks fly, while the entire town looks on and becomes involved in their romance. I highly recommend this book. It is one of Susan Mallery's finest.

Delicious, Delightful, and Just Plain Delovely Delicious, well it?s an incredible read is all I can say. I must admit I reside in the city where this book begins?..Seattle. Here we?re not only known for Microsoft but for coffee and wonderful restaurants. That?s where the Buchanan family lives, in Seattle. A Grandmother who heads the family and rules with an iron fist. A business close to failing until the oldest Buchanan grandson, Cal, steps in to try to save the business. All Cal can think of is hiring his ex-wife to be the head chef. From that moment, sparks, lust and everything else flies. The Buchanan?s are an interesting family?.full of secrets, lies and I sincerely believe this book series could be made into a TV series, it?s that good. Susan Mallery has yet done it again. She never fails her readers with her sensual stores also full of interest and humor. I can?t wait for the next in this incredible series.

Flirting With Forty
by
Jane Porter
Marilyn Shoemaker
, June 22, 2006
Flirting with Forty is a must read for all women whether single or in a relationship as one learns though the main character?s journey to ?be all that you can be?. It?s a story so profound it will have you laughing and crying at the same time. It?s a story of dreams, hope and learning to be comfortable with one?s self. Once I began the journey with the author, Jane Porter I honestly couldn?t put it down. I saw so much of myself as a mother, as a wife and as a woman. Just reading the story made me want to want more for me! As the character Jackie points out sometimes we loose ourselves along the way. We get so caught up in life that we loose ourselves and we blindly accept fate. So, what?s wrong with taking a chance, having an adventure, discovering your self, receiving pleasure? Absolutely nothing! This book is not just about falling in love; it?s about relationships, friendships and finding the courage to grow. As Jane points out, ?growing up doesn?t have to mean growing old?. Amen Jane Porter again has outdone herself with this incredible story for women of all ages. It?s personally given me the courage to begin anew, to explore options and yes, and ?to be all that I can be?!

The Scorsolini Marriage Bargain
by
Lucy Monroe
Marilyn Shoemaker
, June 13, 2006
The Scorsolini Marriage Bargain is brilliant! Passion, Pride, Pain and Persistence all rolled into one making the ending bittersweet to this spectacular ?Royal Brides" series. I cried and cried......it was just wonderful?.incredible, really. My favorite of the series, because of Claudio Scorsolini and how he discovered what was always in his heart. What is it about crown princes or sheikhs that attract the reader? These men are powerful, dynamic, handsome as sin and sexy but can't show their true feelings? Well this future heir to the throne learns a very valuable lesson in finally discovering his love, feelings and expressing them to his lovely Therese. Again, Lucy Monroe addresses an issue that must be painful for some women, the medication condition endometriosis. I think it's wonderful how this author has the courage to tackle subjects like these in her books. She not only entertains her readers with stories of passion and promise but educates them as well. Therese Scorsolini is not without fault in the making their marriage rocky. She has a secret and is not willing to share it properly with her husband. She married the heir to the throne knowing that she was in love with him. She finds out that she might not be able to give him the heirs due to having endometriosis. Instead of coming clean, she asks for a divorce. Their marriage suffers and all communication shuts down. Lots of pain and suffering for this royal couple Their journey into finding love and happiness is one you won?t want to miss. However, I strongly suggest you read the other two books in the series The Prince?s Virgin Wife and His Royal Love-Child as you will definitely fall in love the Scorsolini men and the women they choose to have in their lives.

Harlequin Presents #2537: Captive in His Bed

What an incredible storyteller Sandra Marton is and Captive in His Bed is an excellent example of Sandra?s brilliance. This is the second in her Knight Brother triology and is one very hot and sensual read. From the very beginning the reader learns what a strong and rugged man Matthew Knight is, plus sexy, dangerous, handsome?.all of the qualities of a strong Alpha male. He is sent to Columbia to find a woman, Mia?..the beautiful and seductive woman on the run. Their story is explosive and one that sizzles from the very beginning. However, have a box of Kleenex near by as it?s also sensitive and tender.

The Married Mistress (Harlequin Presents Blackmail Brides)

BRAVO, Kate Walker! The Married Mistress was a passionate and intense love story, one I shall remember for a longtime. This story of Damon and Sarah gripped my heart like no other. Each chapter is so compelling, I couldn't put it down. Again, BRAVO! Its amazing how one little statement from a father can ruin a marriage! Damon?s father had one thing in mind, to get some land for his hotels and marry his son off to a friend?s daughter. Little did he know that his son while bargaining for this land would fall in-love and marry the lovely Sarah in secret. However, when Damon?s father plants in seed in Sarah?s mind that Damon has always wanted to marry Eugenia, Sarah leaves Greece and heads for London. Six months later, Damon is still tormented by his feelings for his wife and goes to London to convince her to return home with him. What he finds when he gets there is explosive. From that moment on, I was trapped and had to read it from beginning to end. This is such a powerful and explosive love story. Just wonderful, one I?ll read over and over again.

Antonides Marriage Deal

I just finished reading THE ANTONIDES MARRIAGE DEAL and really liked it. Reminded me of a Kathryn Hepburn and Spencer Tracy movie, the bantering, power struggle, and sexual tension. I'm hopeful Anne will continue on with the characters, there are so many good stories between these two Greek families Both of the author?s characters are strong and come from a strong and large Greek Family. Elias Antonides is the head of the family business and always taking care of his family and siblings. Tallie Savas is the only one in her family with the desire to become involved in the family business. Both Greek fathers? wager??Elias father looses and Tallie is installed as the President of Antonides Marine. Tension and sparks fly and their romantic dance begins.

& Able

And Able, the conclusion of mercenary trio series was sensual, sensitive, steamy and full of Southern charm. Lucy Monroe has yet again penned a very powerful book which portrays two characters that have been drawn to each other for a long time. Claire Sharpe, smart, witty and full of sass is a loner due to loosing her father and mother at a young age, under difficult circumstances. Brett Adams has been raised in a ?charmed? life but is the families back sheep. Instead of becoming the lawyer, he leaves home after high school graduation and joins the army as a Ranger, then a government agency and is an ex-mercenary. He and his partners are for hire of the cause is worthy and the price right. Brett has only loved once and she died putting her country first over their love. Brett makes a silent promise never to fall in love over her grave. Well life plays strange tricks on people. At his partner?s wedding, he feels lust for Claire and she feels the same. Circumstances bring them together again as Brett feels the need to protect Claire when a close friend of hers is murdered and her home is searched and her life threatened. Their journey and in finding each other, falling in love will just plain take your breath away. Their attraction for each other, their love making, and the feelings swirling around them plus the thrill of danger is a very powerful story and again, Lucy brings her readers to their knees. I?m sorry to see Wolf, Nitro and Hotwire leave plus the women they?re fallen in love with but a happy ending none the less. Thanks Lucy for this wonderful series.

The Prince's Virgin Wife

STUNNING IS ALL I CAN SAY! THE PRINCE'S VIRGIN WIFE has all of Lucy's wonderful qualities in a love story, passion, promise, tenderness and a few of life's lessons to remember. This is the first book in the Royal Bride Series One learns that Tomasso Sciorsolini hired Maggie Thomson six years earlier as his housekeeper while both were attending college. As the Prince was proud and wanted to be known not for his status as a prince, he becomes Tom Prince to those on campus and a friend to his new employee, Maggie as well. Their friendship grows until one evening when things get a little out of hand. Maggie isn?t ready for a physical relationship and is wary because at her initial interview she is warned there can and will never be any physical relationship between them or she would be ?fired?. In order to survive his attraction for his housekeeper, Tom meets the beautiful Liana and ends up marrying her and from this union two beautiful children are created?..Gianni and Anna. However, their mother dies and Tom is in need of a nanny and remembers how well Maggie took care of him and sets out not only to hire her for the position but also decides she might also be a suitable wife and mother for his family. While I adored Tomasso, Maggie is the "strength" in this story. What an incredible character this author has created. What I loved the most is that this strong alpha cares for her due to her inner beauty and strength, not for her outside appearance, even though she is lovely herself. Their journey together at finding love was very tender and full of promise. Monroe reminds her readers of things one should practice daily, like love, strength, kindness, tenderness and putting others first. Thanks for this lovely and breathtaking story, Lucy.

His Royal Love-Child
by

If you read Lucy Monroe?s Wedding Vow of Revenge you were first introduced to Danette Michael?s (Tara?s friend and co-worker). Danette falls under the spell of Ray who uses their relationship to further his career. He betrays Danette and Tara by taking photos in hopes of furthering his career as a reporter. Danette accepts an offer from Angelo her former employer to move to Italy and goes to work at Scorsolini Shipping. She falls in love with the owner; Prince Marcello Scorsolini has a secret affair and becomes pregnant. Danette is tired of their relationship being a secret one and wants their relationship to go public. Marcello, on the other hand wants secrecy so that his lover won?t be hurt by the press. He knows first hand what the press can do?..the press published his sterility during his first marriage all over the tabloids. When he finds out that Danette is pregnant with his child he is ecstatic and wants marry immediately. From that moment on, Danette is unsure of their relationship, everything is moving too fast and she wants LOVE from him and doesn?t feel she can have it as Marcello still lives and mourns the loss of his first wife. Theirs is a turbulent love story and a sweet ending. What I found so amazing about this particular book was how the author used two medical issues, sterility and a genetic spinal deformity and created such an incredibly sweet love story. This author uses these two factors plus their uncertainty of each other and what they both define as love and weaves wonderful tale. I loved Danette?s spunk and "zippy" personality. I also felt her pain when she thought Marcello only wanted to marry her because of the baby. This couple both learn many lessons about love. They both learn ?love shouldn?t be selfish and it shouldn?t hold back out of self-protection. Love shouldn?t make a woman a doormat, but it should make her strong enough to take risks she wouldn?t otherwise take.? Monroe?s alpha male Marcello Scorsolini is proud and passionate and will take your breath away. She also incorporates the other family members into this storyline, the King, his x-wife Marcello?s mother Flavia plus his two brother?s and their wives. This book only sparks the reader?s interest to ?crave? more. I can?t wait for Claudio and Therese?s story in the next book in the series. Again, Lucy Monroe has written not just an incredible book and an incredible series for her readers and fans.
