Stand in the Place Where They Were
(0 comment)
I’ve always loved historic house museums, loved peering beyond the velvet rope into a Victorian bedroom or a colonial kitchen and imagining the ghosts that wore those dresses, or worked the handle of that butter churn, or laid the fire in that grate...

An amazing book by a visionary author. I love his ability to make every story he tells seems like some kind of wonderful dream you had and you can't possibly explain the personal and real experience you had to another person. With a dream you can't just hand the dream to the person next to you, but you can hand them Murakami's masterpiece.

Black Moth

Georgette Heyer

I am not normally a reader of the romance genre but Georgette Heyer's work makes me take back all the bad things I've said about it! The Black Moth kept me riveted with charming, sympathetic characters and smart dialogue. Entertaining and very, very witty, all the way to the end! A must read for anyone who enjoys fine literature and a great introduction to Georgette's work for the newbie who isn't sure where to start!

An amazing novel that's as rich as a fudge cake all the way through. Susanna Clarke has created an amazing world with intriguing characters and a sense of atmosphere that goes unrivaled.
