About the Author
Murray R. Spiegel (deceased) received the M.S. degree in Physics and the Ph.D. in Mathematics from Cornell University. He had positions at Harvard University, Columbia University, Oak Ridge, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and his last position was Professor and Chairman of Mathematics at the Rensselear Polytechnic Institute, Hartford Graduate Center.
Robert E. Moyer has been teaching mathematics at Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia, since 1985. He received his Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Education from the University of Illinois in 1974 and his Master of Science in 1967.
