About the Author

FIONA McCULLOCH is Head of English at the University of Bradford, UK. Her publications include The Fictional Role of Childhood in Victorian and Early Twentieth-Century Children's Literature (Edwin Mellen, 2004), and Children's Literature in Context (Continuum, 2011). She is currently working on her fourth book, Mapping Scotland's Future: Devolution and Citizenship in Contemporary Young-Adult and Children's Fiction.
