Synopsis
Malibu was a real dog, rescued from near death by the Author's mother. He became more than a pet; he became a family member. The illustrations and mini poems in this book are based on real people, real adventures and the unconditional love they provided to one another.
Every page has been designed to teach children basic phonics in ABC's and words that relate to them. All done with a child-like enthusiasm and featuring delightful, brightly-colored illustrations, most of which were recreated from actual moments caught on film.
Learning their alphabet and the relationship of letters to familiar words is just the tip of what this book can teach your children. With parental guidance and this book as a teaching tool, your children will also learn the importance of the relationship between a rescued puppy and his humans. Most importantly how to love and care for him or her as their own family member, not just a pet.
Although this book was generally designed with children ages 1 year through 8 years of age, we truly believe it is something that the entire family will enjoy.
