If Carl Hiaasen was a Golden Girl - Great Read! This book is the rare book that involves heavy issues, but is somehow funny and lighthearted at the same time. While this book is centered around Nancy Hadley and her longtime female friends, the author really nails the male characters as well. While Roger, her philandering husband, is the villain in this book, some of his antics are laugh-out-loud hilarious. It's a rare book that can do that, but it happens many times in this book. This book will naturally attract female readers, but I loved it, and I'm a knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing, troglodyte.
