Four best friends, one apple tree, and many years. This beautiful ode to the power of female friendship brings tears to my eyes, and I want to get it for all my friends. The girls in this book are different from each other, but through good times and bad, they support each other unconditionally. Seeing my own experience of friendship reflected in a picture book makes me so happy, and I hope many girls are handed this positive vision of female friendship. The vibrant, colorful illustrations perfectly match the text and feature a diverse representations of race, sexuality, and ability. Recommended By Christine R., Powells.com
