Synopsis

Una adolescente es expulsada de casa cuando su madre descubre que esta embarazada y, gracias a una profesora, encuentra cobijo en la granja de dos viejos hermanos solteros que viven aislados cuidando de su ganado como han hecho siempre.
Las vidas de todos ellos, con sus silencios, su soledad y sus anhelos, se cruzan para construir refugios inesperados y familias excepcionales.
Tras el exito internacional de Nosotros en la noche recuperamos una de las novelas mas celebres de Kent Haruf, por la cual estuvo nominado al National Book Award y al Los Angeles Times Book Prize. Haciendo acopio de una prosa sobria y una aparente sencillez narrativa, Haruf ha logrado crear en el pueblo imaginario de Holt un paisaje de una particular grandeza mitica que comparte territorio geografico y humano con Richard Ford, Annie Prouxl o Cormac McCarthy.
