About the Author
Mitsumasa Anno was awarded the Hans Christian Andersen Medal, the highest honor attainable in the field of children's book illustration in 1984. His original art will be displayed at the gallery opening of The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Northhampton, MA. Mr. Anno lives in Japan.
