The Art of Cross Examination is the cornerstone of every good advocate's technique in the courtroom. Exploring the elements of style and purpose, this is Strunk and White's "Elements of Style" for the advocate set. It's a must read. It refines and subtly enhances your personal style of cross, using fundamental style and dynamic examples. I cannot imagine being in the trenches with any other bible. Be forewarned however: written by a classicist, it can sometimes read more like "The Illiad" than "Helter Skelter". Still, it's totally worth it, and an entertaining read. It stands apart as the only book worth reading if you're a courtroom legal eagle!
