A good, solid historical fiction, told in two time frames, about a great grandmother and her great granddaughter who have a lot in common. Each has a love for family and people in their neighborhood. Takes a while to read, as you'll be sure not to miss a word. Very real characters and their lives, through wars. Easy to get lost in, sometimes frustrating at the switch as you wonder what happened. Some cliff hangers there. Excellent read!
I received this book free from the author, publisher and NetGalley book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
