"Who doesnt love charms? They are pre-made bits of prettiness that can be used to make almost instant earrings or a pendant. Charm bracelets just never seem to go out of style. But once youve explored those basics, it can be nice to find other ways to use charms to increase your jewelry skills and expand your jewelry wardrobe. Simply Charms is a nice resource at a reasonable price (just under $10) to help you do just that - move beyond the basics in working with charms. There are projects for creating necklaces, bracelets, earrings and pins. Purchased charms can be used for the projects, but you are also shown how to make your own from tin or add the photo of a loved one to a button for a custom charm. Interesting connectors like safety pins and subway coins show how to add character and interest to a piece. And I love the tip on how to attach a coin or other charm using a bit of cording. Its a fun book, and most of the projects can be completed in a fairly short time frame. A little instant gratification is always to be treasured." -

I especially love the elongated coin charm bracelet found in Simply Charms. If your budget is tight but you need some jewelry making inspiration, take a look at these titles from Lark. The price is right for each of these books — and the finished projects look like a million bucks!" -
