8vo., full blue morocco, boards ruled in gilt, inner gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers. Frye of Halifax binder's ticket to verso of front free endpaper. Bookplate of Frances Mary Richardson Currer (1785-1861), well-known British book collector and possible benefactress of the Bronte family; Charlotte Bronte's pen name was "Currer Bell."
Wear to joints. Hinges remain good, with some wear to head and tail of endpapers at front. Pencil notation to verso of front free endpaper and first blank; offset to first blank and one small note in ink. Offset from frontis to title page. Pencil to verso of rear free endpaper.
