Synopsis
Tudor England. A world of political intrigue, religious turmoil and artistic renaissance. A world of blood and ink. Christopher Marlowe, the dark and misunderstood playwright of Queen Elizabeth's court, sells his soul to gain the one thing he desires: to see his name immortalized. From an early age he suffers the whips and scorns of time, the ripping of his identity as a playwright, as he is thrust into the dark depths of England's underworld - the Queen's spy circle. As he sinks deeper into blood and murder, desperate to seek a reckoning for his name, a masque is created to save his life, sending him into exile and allowing an unknown actor from Stratford to step into his shoes, William Shakespeare. What will a man not do to regain his name?
