Jack Finney was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1911 and lived in California. He wrote stories for magazines such as andlt;i andgt;Collierand#8217;sandlt;/iandgt;, andlt;i andgt;The Saturday Evening Postandlt;/iandgt;, and andlt;i andgt;McCalland#8217;sandlt;/iandgt;, and is the author of ten novels, including the science fiction thriller andlt;i andgt;The Body Snatchersandlt;/iandgt;, later published as andlt;i andgt;Invasion of the Body Snatchersandlt;/iandgt;, which served as the basis for multiple film adaptations.
