This is primarily the story of Simon Kenton, Daniel Boone, George Rogers Clark, Blue Jacket, Tecumseh, Anthony Wayne, and William Henry Harrison. The Shawnee, Delaware, Mingo, Wyandots, Miamis, and many other Indian tribes are included. It covers the years from just before the Revolutionary War, until just after the War of 1812. It covers the settlement of Kentucky and Ohio extensively, through acquiring their statehoods and the first 3 governors of Ohio, and the acquisition of the Northwest Territory, which at that time was Indiana and land west of there.
This book is all factual, every item really happened, and it is written as a narrative, which makes it the best history book I have ever read. It ought to be a required reading assignment for every history class in Kentucky and Ohio schools.
