Das Lehrbuch vermittelt auf anschauliche Weise die Grundlagen der Investitionsplanung und -entscheidung. Zahlreiche Aufgaben und Lösungen ermöglichen das effektive Selbststudium sowie den Einsatz in der Lehre. Das nunmehr bereits in der fünften Auflage vorliegende Lehrbuch vermittelt auf anschauliche Weise die Grundlagen der Investitionsplanung und -entscheidung. Dabei wird das bewährte Grundkonzept beibehalten: Nach einer Beschreibung der betrieblichen Investitionsbereiche stellen Jacob/Voigt zunächst die klassischen Methoden der Investitionsrechnung dar. Im Anschluß daran werden die auf der linearen Planungsrechnung beruhenden Investitionsmodelle behandelt. Sowohl im Rahmen der klassischen Methoden als auch der komplexen Modellansätze wird dem Problem der Datenunsicherheit besondere Beachtung geschenkt. Ein Kapitel über die Wirkung von Steuern auf Investitionsentscheidungen rundet die Darstellung ab. Alle Kapitel wurden für die fünfte Auflage grundlegend überarbeitet und aktualisiert.

Professor für Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Hamburg und wissenschaftlicher Leiter des Instituts für internationale betriebswirtschaftliche Forschung e.V. (IbF) in Hamburg. Dr. Kai-Ingo Voigt ist Hochschulassistent und Habilitand am Institut für Industriebetriebslehre und Organisation, Arbeitsbereich Industrielles Management, der Universität Hamburg.
