Carin Berger is an award-winning designer, artist, and creator of such picture books as The Little Yellow Leaf and A Perfect Day, among others. She assembled the dioramas, shadow boxes, and cut-paper collages in this book from ephemera—catalogues, old books, receipts, letters,and ticket stubs—as well as cigar boxes.
