Synopses & Reviews
This book canvases the thoughts and practices of Kenneth W. Thompson, who has contributed a "public philosophy" of multidimensional and interdisciplinary ideas and practices. Drawing on interviews from Thompson and those surrounding him, this work is organized based on the three dimensions of Thompson's public philosophy: theorizing, education, and politics. These three pillars show how Thompson's ideas make a system of thought that helps the understanding of not only the human condition during the Cold War, but that also enlightens humanity at large to navigate and to make decision in the public sphere. More importantly, his theories help the world, in his own words, 'move civilization ahead.'"
