About the Author
EVA ERMAN is Senior Lecturer in Political Science at Stockholm University, Sweden. She is the author of
Human Rights and Democracy: Discourse Theory and Global Rights Institutions, and has published numerous articles on discourse theory and discourse ethics, democratic theory, human rights and global governance. Erman is also the Chief Editor of
Ethics& Global Politics.
ANDERS UHLIN is Associate Professor of Political Science at Lund University, Sweden. His main research interests are processes of democratization, civil society activism, and transnational relations. Previous books include Post-Soviet Civil Society, Transnational Activism in Asia (co-edited) and Indonesia and the 'Third Wave of Democratization'.
