A series of dialogues, exercises, vocabulary, and cultural notes prepare health professionals to better communicate with Spanish-speaking patients. Technical material, medical terminology, and grammatical terms are integrated into the text allowing the student to explain (in Spanish) procedures, medications, and diagnoses when faced with a variety of medical situations involving non English speaking patients and families.
This text offers the instructor a complete course that can be used in practically any classroom situation. However, it can be adapted for home use as well.
