Excerpt from Minutes of the Forty-Eighth Session of the North Indiana Annual Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church: Held at Huntington, April 1-6, 1891
Introductions. - The following brethren were introduced: John L. Smith and W. P. Hargrave, of the Northwest Indiana Confer ence; Frank A. Hardin, of the Rock River Conference, Samuel A. Keen, of the Cincinnati Conference, W. P. Stowe, Agent of the Western Book Concern; James W. Mendenhall, Editor of the Methodist Review, Isaac Cleaver, pastor of the United Brethren Church of Huntington; C. H. Bell, of the United Brethren Church; C. N. Shaff, pastor of the German Reformed Church of Huntington; J. B. Solomon, pastor of the Baptist Church of Huntington, and G. N. Eldridge, S. Light, and J. Thomas, trans ferred to this Conference.
Program. - Oh motion of C. G. Hudson, the program arranged and published by the Committee on Public Worship, was adopted and confirmed by the Conference.
