"Moderne Religion" ist die Ausarbeitung einer Aufsatzsammlung, die Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts erschien und in der Heinrich Meyer-Henfey eine Reihe von eigenen Gedanken ber den Umgang und das Sein von Religion seiner Zeit zusammengetragen hatte. Die intensivere Besch ftigung mit entsprechendem Thema f hrten Meyer-Henfey schlie lich zu geisteswissenschaftlichen Gr en wie Schleiermacher und Maeterlinck, bei denen er Parallelen zu seinen eigenen Theorien fand. Von Meyer-Henfey als Eideshelfer bezeichnet, verkn pft er hier nun die prominenten Ideen mit seinen eigenen, was "Moderne Religion" zu einem besonderen Leseereignis macht.
