About the Author
Jason Breedlove spent 6 years in an Iowa correctional facility. Serving sentences on three occasions for theft and marijuana. This book begins during his second stay in 2002. On his third trip back he picked up the pen and continued to record his thoughts and observations.
Born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa Mr. Breedlove explored alcoholism and later methamphetamines. At 34 years old and still on parole (through interstate compact in Oregon for the state of Iowa), he's had more of his life involved in the legal system than he had of life prior (legal problems started at age 16).
Mr Breedlove is active in volunteer projects in the community, often working at Loaves and Fishes senior cafeteria in downtown Portland, Potluck in the Park for the homeless, and at the computer recycling center Free Geek.
