Immortality - it sounded like a great idea Aahz falls for the offer of a piece of the rock, literally, when he invests in a scheme to build pyramids. He is so enthusiastic about the concept that he ropes in everyone else he knows to invest - in tombs lower down than his, of course. But all is not perfect: along with the prospect of being remembered for eternity and the best view in the valley of Zyx comes a run of unbelievable bad luck It's up to Skeeve to figure out why the deal is running sour even before the ink's dry on the papyrus.
Synopsis
Aahz falls for a literal pyramid scheme, selling it stone by stone as a burial site, while claiming the coveted pointed stone top for himself. But Skeeve wants to be know why the construction site is having so many accidents-before both he and Aahz end up in the afterlife before their time...
About the Author
Robert (Lynn) Asprin was born in 1946. While he has written some stand alone novels such as
Cold Cash War,
Tambu,
The Bug Wars and also the
Duncan and Mallory Illustrated stories, Bob is best known for his series:
The Myth Adventures of Aahz and Skeeve; the
Phule novels; and, more recently, the
Time Scout novels written with Linda Evans. He also edited the groundbreaking
Thieves World anthologies with Lynn Abbey. His most recent collaboration is
License Invoked written with Jody Lynn Nye. It is set in the French Quarter, New Orleans where he currently lives.
