I feel that Kamala Khan (the new Ms. Marvel and main character of this series) can best be summed up in her quote, "Good is not a thing you are. It's a thing you do." Surprisingly, considering she's a fictional teenage girl, I look up to her quite a lot. I admire her determination and desire to simply do good for the people and city she cares about. There is a great amount of humor in this series, but there are also emotional moments that have made me tear up (see volumes three and four). My favorite thing about this series is that you can tell the authors are dedicated to writing stories that will resonate with teenage/younger readers and speak to their lives and struggles, as opposed to what sometimes happens with graphic novels and teenage main characters, where it just feels like a grab at a new consumer group.
