This is one of the most fascinating and useful books anyone can own. I wouldn't suggest reading it cover to cover (as it is rather long), but as a reference book, it is second to none. This book takes all of the mind-brain research, discusses it and then makes it APPLICABLE. You can literally open it anywhere and begin reading and you'll find something that will be useful for you. It's interesting enough for those knowledgeable in neurology but explicable enough for the common layperson to understand.
It explains things such as: why warm milk actually does help people sleep (but why hot chocolate doesn't), that women are better at math at different times of their monthly cycles (really!), that who women are attracted to while on birth control are very different than who they are attracted to once they come off of birth control, how to encourage language development in children, why it is best to begin learning a second (or third or fourth) language before the age of seven and so much more!
Truly, truly engaging - you won't regret buying (and reading) this book.
