"Pesikta De-Rab Kahana: R. Kahana's Compilation of Discources for Sabbath and Festal Days" is fifth-century midrash on the Bible that was not published until 1868. Rabbi William Braude and Brown University Professor of English Israel Kapstein did a masterful job of translating and annotating the text from Hebrew and Aramaic into modern English. They also wrote a thorough introduction, and provide a glossary, and indexes of: passages cited, authorities cited, subjects and names, and plays on words and letters.
