Witty, warm and wise, this is the fourth and final novel in the Reinhart series, concluding the saga with a funny and delightful capstone to a career accomplishment by one of our very best authors. The novel brings post-WWII vet and failed serial businessman Carlo Reinhart to a philosophical place where he finally gains control over the direction of his life. I recommend starting with Reinhart in Love, the second and funniest book in the series, or Crazy in Berlin, the first and perhaps densest, and leaving this treat for last, as a tasty and satisfying dessert .
