We all have feet. Even animals! This book is a great way to introduce animals to a child by finding something they can relate to — feet. The book breaks down the animal kingdom into different kinds of feet: Polar bears have snow feet, while tortoises have slow feet. The simple illustrations are very cute and colorful. My toddlers love picking out all the different animals when we read this together. So much fun. Recommended By Rose H., Powells.com
Synopses & Reviews
High feet, slow feet, fast feet, snow feet So Many Feet introduces young children to the great diversity in the natural world, using feet as an accessible point of entry. The playful, rhyming main text offers some information, but is mostly fun to read aloud. The secondary text offers more facts about each animal and what makes its feet so unique. The book ends by asking children whether their feet can do all the things animals' feet can do.

"Vidal's boldly graphic art...is eye-catching. The larger-than-normal trim size...illustrate each creature's fancy footwork and hint at its habitat." Kirkus

"The tantalizing, brief snippets of information are just right for the age group, and the genial, boldly colored creatures that fill the pages are very eye-catching." Booklist

"Mara uses a simple overarching rhyme to carry readers along (“High feet... Slow feet... Fast feet... Snow feet”) and supplies a sentence about how each animal uses its feet (“A polar bear’s feet spread wide to keep it from sinking into the snow”). Debut illustrator Vidal uses limited color palettes clean shapes and sharp edges to create scenes that make a big graphic impact and are well worth lingering over."
