Born into Somali royalty and Saudi-Arabian wealth, Fatma is given away in infancy and married at age 12 in an arranged marriage which brings her to America. Here she attempts to take control of her life, but ends up on a path of self-destruction. Ultimately, Fatm's story is one of courage and hope as she navigates a cultural divide, faces her "demons" and herself. Ms. Labozzetta write a compelling, current coming to America story...a must read.
