Rupa Mehta is a teacher, trainer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and author. As a successful, young businesswoman driven to impact children and adults nationwide, she has become an energetic magnet for people wanting to live healthier lives and be more involved with their communities. A first generation, Indian-American, Rupa grew up in Fairfax, Virginia, majored in journalism and Marketing at New York University, and then received her MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University. With a passion for helping others find their best emotional and physical self, Rupa devised her own unique fitness system, the Nalini Method. Noted as "One of the All-time Best Workouts in New York City" by NBC News and voted a Top Workout by Oprah and Fitness magazines, the Nalini Method is a dynamic workout fusing Pilates, aerobics, barre work, strength and resistance training, and yoga. Rupas passion is to weave together Eastern and Western philosophies through dynamic and accessible approaches towards teaching and wellness. In 2009, partnered with Mayor Bloomberg and NYC Service, Mehta founded her non-profit organization NaliniKIDS®, a groundbreaking program designed to improve the emotional and physical health of at-risk middle-school students in New York City.
