One of the funniest books I've ever read. Pierre bravely takes on the aftermath of a terrible tragedy to address issues of race, class, justice, love, sex, media manipulation, opportunism, competence, etc. Often compared to Catcher in the Rye and A Confederacy of Dunces, Vernon God Little is worthy of its place among them.
