A moving Holocaust story that has been translated into many languages, Yosi Rakover Talks to God can be read as a shorter, but in some ways sharper, modern day version of the Biblical story of Job. The author, Zvi Kolitz, was multi-talened. He produced plays [e.g., The Deputy - which questioned the Pope's response to Nazi
Germany's murder of Jews] and films [e.g., Hill 24 Does Not Answer - Israel's first full length movie about its War of Independence] , served as a newspaper columist, and wrote a book on the existential philosophy of Rabbi Joesph Soloveitchik.
