House Rules

What are you supposed to do when your brother is accused of killing someone they didn't? Tell the court that he has Aspersers? No...that would only take them to a huge discussion on what Aspersers really is. What if you're the mom? Do you really believe that your son, who has Aspersers, really killed his social tutor? You know that communicating is his weakness, or what if you're Jacob Hunt, the eighteen year old boy who was accused of killing his social tutor? You wish so hard that they could see the truth...I mean it's right there...they just can't see it. House Rules by Jodi Picoult is a brilliant story that really opens your eyes on a person who has Aspersers and how it affects everyone around them. Throughout the book you'll see every side of the story from Jacob himself to his Lawyer Oliver. Picoult shows that she can get on every characters perspective well, though I thought that it could've done better without the cussing.

Th1rteen R3asons Why
by
Asher, Jay

Someone in your school has committed suicide, but it wasn't just anyone, you liked that person, maybe even loved them, and now they're just...gone. Clay Jensen is still grieving over the loss of Hannah Baker when one morning, a box filled with tapes shows up at his door. Out of the seven tapes there are thirteen stories told by, yours truly, dead Hannah Baker, each story is a reason why she committed suicide. Clay never did anything to Hannah so why is he on there? Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher is a story that always keeps you on the edge of your seat, each story you find out more and more about Hannah's path to committing suicide. After reading I found it a little depressing, I felt sorry for all of those people that were on the tapes, but more importantly I got a better grip on those who decided to kill themselves and what they went through.

Chronicles of Prydain 01 Book Of Three
by
Lloyd Alexander

Your pig has gone missing so you go to the forest to find it. You lurk behind the bushes and stumps, and try not to breathe so loudly. A man on a black horse dressed in red robes and on his head is a skull with antlers comes riding along with his massive army looking for your oracular pig. What are you supposed to do? After all you're only an assistant pig keeper. The Book of three by Lloyd Alexander is a trilling fast read about Taran's adventure, throughout the book Taran discovers himself and finds out what it truly means to be a hero. I would have to admit, at times this book was a tiny bit boring, but there were enough twist and turns to keep me reading on, the characters in the story were well presented and each one had their own personality.
