by
John Feinstein
SMSBookReviews
, January 14, 2011
The Rivalry tells a tale of adventure and mystery. From interviewing players, following Secret Service, and even talking to the President, Stevie Thomas and Susan Carol Anderson discover the con of the century. During the Army-Navy game, the young reporters think they are covering a historical sports game, but it turns into something much worse. By seeing the teamwork of the two military teams, Stevie and Susan Carol are determined to save their game. the young reporters finally succeed. As their fellow reporter puts it, "I've never seen anything like it." There is a downside though. the ending is terrible. You don't know who wins; you have to infer it. The author took the words right out of my mouth agian, "NOW WHAT?"

Fablehaven: Keys to the Demon Prison By: Brandon Mull The fifth edition of Fablehaven pits young adventurers Seth and Kendra Sorenson in yet another epic battle in the magical world of fairies, demons, and dragons. As they are thrust into another life or death mission, the kids face unreal obstacles like the Singing Sisters, magical totem walls, and eventually the demon king. As Seth and Kendra find new powers, they are teamed up with the Sphinx, their ancient enemy. From prison to magical assassins, and even an age-old wizard, Fablehaven is full of nonstop action and adventure, ending with four words: “That would be perfect.” Yes it was.
