Renee Macalino Rutledge: Powell's Q&A: Renee Macalino Rutledge, author of 'One Hundred Percent Me' (0 comment)
Could you describe your latest book, One Hundred Percent Me?
A little girl is used to hearing questions about her looks all the time. "Where are you from?" "What are you?" These questions are a constant reminder from others that she is different. As she embraces her identity and culture, she teaches others that she belongs, that the differences they notice are part of what make her unique, special, and herself....

Immortals 01 Evermore by Alyson Noel
    LilyJE, April 05, 2011
I really liked this book. I rarely wanted to put it down and just keep reading. It was very unpredictable at the end. I did not expect what happened to happen. It was also a little confusing but it made me think which I like in a book. I would defiantly recommend this to a friend.

Gallagher Girls 01 Id Tell You I Love You But Then Id Have to Kill You by Ally Carter
    LilyJE, April 05, 2011
I give this book four stars because throughout the book I wasn't all that engaged. I did not like the ending very much and was a bit confusing.

Arthur Trilogy 01 Seeing Stone by Kevin Crossley Holland
    LilyJE, April 01, 2011
The Seeing Stone by Kevin Crossley Holland is a book my that my class had to read for book groups. I think this is an okay book for book groups because it is confusing so you have people to discuss it with, but if you are reading in alone, then I don't think you should read this because it is really hard to understand without discussing. Overall, I did not like this book, but there were some parts that I did enjoy. Most of the time I found myself zoning out and not really knowing what I was reading. This was not the worst book I have read but defiantly not the best.
