About the Author
Uwe Scheid (19442000) collected artistic and erotic photographs of nudes, dating mainly from photographys early days and from the 1920s and 30s. Scheid was a member of the German Photographic Society, the European Society for the History of Photography, the Club Daguerre, and the Daguerreian Society.
Hans-Michael Koetzle is a Munich-based freelance author and journalist, focusing mainly on history and the aesthetics of photography. He has published numerous books on photography and has been editor-inchief of the magazine Leica World since 1996.
