Synopsis
Rob is in crisis. His best friends know it. Even his employees see it. He is the only one who hasn't yet figured it out. But he soon will.Rob is a troubled soul, with a successful dental practice, two grown daughters, and the ghosts of his failed marriage still haunting him. Crippled by an emotional disconnect between his head and heart, Rob finally agrees to take a guy's trip through France and Spain with his two best friends to hike the Camino de Santiago, never expecting that the trip would alter the course of his life.During a two-day stopover in Paris, a chance encounter with Gabrielle forces Rob to examine his deepest feelings and the painful memories that he'd rather keep buried, while a seemingly predestined meeting with Jack, a wise and worldly doctor from Australia, launches him in an unexpected quest. While he and his two buddies, Dean and Mackie, make their way across Spain, many fellow pilgrims become part of his journey on the Camino and aid him in his search for the inner healing he so desperately needs. From a stormy trek through the Pyrenees Mountains to bulls in Pamplona, Rob must face his demons while walking with open hands to accept what the Camino has in store.A Camino Begins in Paris is a colorful trip through Europe, with sometimes humorous antics among lifelong friends, but mostly it's a courageous adventure for those souls who long for deeper connection and for those who have no idea such connections exist.
