British Surgeon Benjamin Travers originally published his work A Synopsis of Diseases of the Eye in 1820, based on seven years of experience at the London Infirmary for Diseases of the Eye and subsequent years of private practice. In it he covers the Anatomical Description of the Eye and its Appendages; Pathology of the Membranes, Humors, and Appendages; and Treatment of the Diseases of the Eye. This is a facsimile of the 1824 Third Edition.

About the Author
British author Benjamin Travers (1783-1858) was appointed Surgeon to the London Infirmary for Diseases of the Eye in 1810. Three years later he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of London for the Improvement of Natural Knowledge, whose members represent all ares of science, engineering, and medicine.
