Synopses & Reviews
The author of the popular Framing & Rough Carpentry extends his highly illustrated, "framer-friendly" approach to more advanced framing elements. This new book provides expert, but easy-to-interpret instruction for framing rake walls, curved walls and stairs, unusual shapes and angles, non-standard heights, and special requirements for architectural details.
The "Materials & Equipment" section includes engineered wood products and light gauge steel framing, and offers guidance for managing materials and waste allowances.
The "Lead Framer" section clarifies the responsibilities of the job and offers guidance based on the author's more than 20 years' experience managing framing crews.
