An Unexpected LoveTo complete her latest project, Annie Beckett must temporarily move in with gorgeous but forbidding Rik Magnusson-who lets her into his home, but not his life. Although Annie tells herself not to get involved, an unexpected kiss ignites a searing passion between them-and soon she finds herself longing to know his every secret.
When Annie breezed into Rik's life, challenging and teasing, he knows he never wants to let her go. And though she's been chasing excitement all over the country, he's betting he can convince Annie that what she's really been searching for all these years is right here, in his arms-because settling down doesn't mean settling for less, when the reason is love.

In Her Own Words...
"Unlike some authors, I wasn't born wanting to write. In factI wanted to be an archaeologist. I received my classicalarchaeology degree from the University of Michigan, andeven attended a summer program at University of London'sInstitute of Archaeology. My last dig was at a Roman fortoutside Newcastle in Great Britain. There, standing up to myknees in mud and swinging a pick ax, I decided that maybearchaeology wasn't my calling in life, after all. So, I had ababy and went to work in a research lab.
"The very first romances I ever read were Kathleen Woodiwiss'sThe Flame and the Flower and The Wolf and the Dove.I fell in love with Heather and Brandon, Wulfgar and Aislinn -- and have been hopelessly hooked on romances ever since.Next to writing, I like nothing better than to curl up with a goodbook and a hot cup of coffee, and romances will alwaysbe my books of choice. When I sat down to write my first story,I had no doubt it would be a romance-because,in romance, girls get to have all the fun!
