About the Author
Stephanie McCann, M.A., is an independent medical and scientific illustrator. She received her M.A. in Medical and Biological Illustration from The Johns Hopkins University, and B.A. in Fine Arts at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is currently an instructor at Santa Barbara City College, teaching Biological Illustration (Biology Department) and Adobe Illustrator (Multimedia Arts and Technology Department). Stephanie's studio is located in Santa Barbara, California.
Joanne Tillotson, Ph.D., has been teaching undergraduate biology laboratories for over 14 years, the last 10 of which have been at Purchase College, State University of New York, where she has received the Pedagogy Award for innovative use of technology in the teaching laboratory, and the SUNY Chancellors Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Tillotson received her B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Dubuque and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Michigan State University.
Sonia E. Reichert, M.D., previously served as Director of Curriculum for Kaplan Medical and is currently an Internal Medicine Resident at SUNY Downstate at Brooklyn. Dr. Reichert is a regular participant of National Board conferences and has many years of experience in the creation and development of Kaplan Medical's online, print, DVD and other media related educational tools in the medical and allied health fields. She is the leading national expert in the content, scoring and structure of medical licensing and allied health exams.
