Synopses & Reviews
Once upon a time, Andrei had a mother, but she has disappeared. Before he was born, he lived inside her stomach, right underneath her heart. Now she has been gone for so long that he can barely remember what her eyes looked like. Andrei lives in a children's home with his friend Vova, who has never seen his mother. One day they set off to find Andrei's mama in the great city of St. Petersburg. They admire streetcars and eat pierogis an adopt a friendly dog. And, at long last, their persistence seems to be rewarded.
