A young child has many beloved stuffed animals--at least one for each letter of the alphabet. But as her mother tucks her into bed and she prepares to slip into slumber, she realizes one of her cuddly creatures is missing. Which one could it be? She must recite the alphabet and remember all her critters in order to figure out which animal slid out of her alphabed.
About the Author
Margriet Ruurs has a master's degree in education from Simon Fraser University and has studied the use of technology in teaching reading and writing to children. She speaks to parents, teachers, and librarians at conferences all around North America. She lives on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada. Jennifer Emery's illustrations have appeared in many educational publications and magazines for children. She is the illustrator of six other Boyds Mills Press books, most recently the picture book Animal Alphabed and Step-by-Step Crafts for Summer. Jennifer lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
