CAROLYN D. RUNOWICZ, MD, a nationally recognized expert in gynecologic cancer, is director of the University of Connecticut Cancer Center in Farmington. A past president of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, she will become president of the American Cancer Society in November 2005. Her husband,
SHELDON H. CHERRY, MD, is clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. They reside near Hartford, Connecticut.
DIANNE PARTIE LANGE is deputy editor of Prevention magazine and a former syndicated health columnist for the Los Angeles Times. She lives in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania.
