A Note from the Author This review guide to AP Physics places emphasis on two very important aspects of learning physics that will improve your ability to solve physics problems. Namely, this book focuses on problem-solving techniques and conceptual understanding. Each chapter will provide insight into problem solving and provide the student with a foundation for the major concepts that are at the core of each unit in AP Physics.
This review guide is not a textbook! However, it will work well with your textbook by emphasizing important topics and providing you with enhanced learning opportunities in the form of extra problems sprinkled throughout each chapter. Each chapter focuses on the important topics that tend to be points of emphasis each year in the AP Physics curriculum. The practice sessions at the end of each chapter have a good mix of multiple-choice and free-response practice questions complete with answers. Each question in the guide was developed to address only AP Physics objectives. Note that questions marked with an asterisk (*) are considered to be more appropriate for the AP Physics C exam.
The sample practice tests reflect the current AP objectives and curriculum. All of the questions are relevant and correspond to the College Boards standards, and are at the appropriate difficulty level for AP Physics.
Good luck with your AP Physics exam!
