Margie writes to Santa Clause asking him for a new teddy bear since her current teddy, Herold, is looking a bit shabby. Her bossy older brother Arthur believes that Santa Clause is a humbug and he has a plan to prove it. He creates a trap to catch Santa, but then falls asleep just before Santa appears. Lorna Balian's charming illustrations convey the rest of the story as Arthur awakes to find Margie with new ice skates and a new sweater for Herold. He decides maybe he was wrong about Santa after all. This endearing Christmas tale will delight both boys and girls alike.
